Gary R Sarver , PA June 12, 2017 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDB8959SBW0 Touch pad control on maytag dw failure Replace the touchpad. Shut off power. Remove door cover, unscrewed control panel and replaced with new one. Probably took 1/2 hour from getting my tools till final cleanup. Easy repair. After searching online for this problem I found many complaints about early failure. Our DW was about 5 years old. IMHO Maytag produced quality products in the past. Not so much anymore. I was able to get the part from appliancepartspros.com. I chose regular shipping and it arrived the very next morning. The customer service person that I ordered from was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I have used this company before for parts and have always been more than satisfied. Jeff D Langley , WA June 11, 2017 Appliance: Model MDB895BW Dishwasher start button would not work on control panel Unscrewed (hex?) door easily including screw that attaches control panel to door. Unplugged control panel and saw ribbon connection corroded. Some type of liquid got in. Ordered part. Replacement took less than 10 minutes. Just plug in and rescrew into place. Remember to turn off circuit breaker to dishwasher before unscrewing and pieces.
