Description

This damper heater is the heater element used with the refrigerator air-damper assembly to help prevent frost and condensation buildup around the damper. Replaces a failed heater to restore proper damper operation and airflow. What it does:

• Warms the damper area to reduce ice and condensation that can block the damper
• Helps ensure the fresh-food and freezer compartments share airflow as intended
• Commonly replaced when frost or ice accumulates near the damper or when the damper fails to open/close smoothly
• Works as part of the damper/air control system; does not include the full damper housing or actuators unless specified
