Read an online tip on how to replace the new unbelievably tight belt... 'Carefully loosen the new belt by pulling it upward with your hands and keeping your foot on the opposite end. Then mount the new belt on the pump assembly ABOVE the pump pulley wheel. Stretch the other side of the belt over the motor pulley wheel. Now roll the pump side of the belt down onto the pump wheel. Apply the silicon lubricant included with the new belt and rotate it counterclockwise a couple of revolutions to make sure the belt is seated correctly.' Nancy Y Burlington , WI February 01, 2015 Appliance: Jenn-Air Dishwasher DU450-C Broken belt on my dishwasher I ordered the replacement belt and when it arrived i was CERTAIN that is was the wrong size. It was at least 1-1/2 inches shorter than the broken one, even accounting for stretching over the years of use, I didnt see anyway it would go on. I sent an email to AppliancePartsPros telling them I was sure they sent me the wrong one, they responded very quickly telling me that they were sure it was the right belt, but would be happy to send me a new belt, just provide them with more info on my dishwasher. Well I decided to try it one more time, & it is the right belt. We put it in very hot water for a few minutes, then stretched it multiple times by looping it over our feet and pulling up on it. First, boil the dishwasher belt for 2 mins in hot water. Second, put your foot in the belt and pull till it stretches. Place the belt on the motor pulley and pull to the other pulley. Keep the belt in the grove on the backside and rotate counterclockwise. It pops right onto the pulley. Remember to grease with the silicone grease last. The instructions were good, and I had read some of the on-line feedback of others who had the same problem.
