Easy to do but takes some care to bottom out the inner cap assembly to keep the three distribution holes totally uncovered . All went well. James P Pittsburgh , PA June 10, 2016 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW4800XQ0 Bad gear case Ordered the part and was surprise how fast the delivery was. Watched a few video on You tube and tackled the problem, It pay to follow directions, Removed the motor and other hardware and then the gear case. Tried to remove the tub, but found out the gear case had to be bolted in place. Reattached the case and remove the tub.
