Jeff W Maplewood , MN February 04, 2017 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH6500AWQ Inner door panel deteriorated and needed replacement Ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com, it arrived in an undamaged box but when I opened it and took the inner panel out it was cracked and small piece was broken off. There was no packaging in the box, just the plastic panel loose in the box. I called and they replaced the part next day shipping at no additional cost to me - Thank You AppliancePartsPros.com, great customer service! The repair itself was extremely easy. removed the door from the washing machine, then removed the screws holding the inner panel on. I then removed the vent tube assembly and door lock, hoop assembly. The trick to getting the door lock, hoop assembly out is that there is a small block like piece in the middle that you have to rotate out. In other words - in the middle of the plastic part of that assembly there is a small block-like part to it that gets rotated out of the middle of the block (but remains attached to the assembly as a whole). Once it's rotated out it allows you to squeeze the assembly together and lift out of the part of the inner panel that holds it in place. Next I removed the balancer assembly by removing the two screws. The last thing was just to remove the metal door clips that hold the screws. This is done by rotating them upwards drawing the screw receiving side into the door panel. There's a good youtube video out there if what I'm writing doesn't make sense. Reassembly was simply reversing the disassembly order. The total job took about 15 minutes or less from door removal to a fully operational washer again. Good Luck! Richard M Warrenton , VA February 06, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH7500AWQ Inner door panel cracked on one side Replaced inner door panel. The operation required: removing the washer door (2 - screws) from the washing machine; removing the door hinges from the door panel; removing 2 - screws on the bottom and the opposite side from the hinges. The plastic inner door panel lifted off from the door assembly. Internal parts from the old inner door panel (some metal/some plastic) were removed, cleaned, and transferred to the new inner door panel. Reassembly was the reverse of the above screw and hinge removal. Reattached the door panel with the new inner door panel in place. All done ! Read More... Roger C Wellsville , UT August 23, 2015 Worn and ripped door boot seal broken inner door panel Since I travel for work, I receive constant requests for flight and hotel reviews. I simply don't have the time and energy to respond. However, I must comment on my experience with this company. The parts were easy to identify, and the least expensive too. What really blew me away was the tutorial video that was professionally done, and extremely clear. Without that, it would have taken me hours longer to complete the task, and with provocation for less-than-choice language. Oh, I almost failed to mention that I ordered the parts on Tuesday, received them by Friday, and did the deed on Saturday. Cinch! We even had time to do laundry in time to keep from being tempted to break the sabbath. Life is good! Read More... Kevin C Rio Rancho , NM April 26, 2014 Well against my wife's wishes and better judgement i washed my hockey gear in our washer and during the spin cycle a piece got caught and the friction destroyed the inner door liner Ordered the inner liner which arrived on time as promised. I removed the door and dissembled it, replaced the inner door liner and reassembled. Perfect, less than 30 minutes, even for thus professed non-DIYer! Thanks! Happy wife, happy life! Read More...
