Richard B Oak Creek , WI April 11, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Gas Dryer MDG5500AWW I smelled a little gas each time i opened the dryer door i called the gas company and the service man found the nut on the union was split A plumbing supply store found the part on the internet with a Whirlpool part #. I found that number on the website of another parts supplier (Appliance Zone) but it did not have a picture of the part. It was called a gas connector, and I ordered the part. It arrived quickly, but the name on the parts bag was "elbow". It was only the elbow. I couldn't believe that someone would sell half of a union. I did more searching and found your website which had a picture and description of a "Elbow Union Assembly" which was what I needed. It arrived as promised, and I had the dryer put back together in 10 minutes. I made a note to check your site first in the future. Maytag's parts list only has the elbow. I was able to send the elbow back, but they wouldn't credit the shipping claiming I ordered the wrong part #.
