Description
This 8-inch surface burner element delivers heat on an electric cooktop or range. Replacing a worn or open element restores even heating on the burner zone and reliable response to temperature settings.
- Heats the 8-inch cooking zone when the surface control is turned on
- Helps maintain consistent pan temperature for boiling, simmering, and frying
- Common symptoms: burner won't heat, heats unevenly or intermittently, visible blistering/breaks in the coil, or scorch marks at the terminals
- Replacing a damaged element can prevent further damage to the receptacle/terminal block
What's included: One 8-inch surface element. Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the unit to cool completely
- Handle the element by the bracket; avoid bending the coil
- For plug-in setups, pull the old element straight out and firmly seat the new one; for wired connections, move wires one at a time to the matching terminals and secure properly
- Inspect the receptacle/terminal block and wiring; replace if burnt or loose before restoring power
