Description

This bake element is the lower-oven heating source that brings your range or wall oven up to temperature for consistent baking. Replace a burned or damaged element to restore reliable preheat and even cooking results. What it does:

• Provides bottom heat during bake cycles for even, consistent cooking
• Primary heat source for preheating and maintaining set temperature
• Common symptoms: no heat in bake, slow preheat, won't reach temperature, uneven baking, visible blisters/breaks on the element
• Useful clue: broil works but bake does not

Install notes:

• Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
• Remove racks; take out element mounting screws; pull element forward to access terminals
• Transfer wires one at a time and ensure tight, insulated connections; don't let wires retract into the cavity
• After reassembly, run a brief bake test to verify operation and clear any residual smoke from first heat-up
