Description
This 6-inch radiant surface element is the heating source for a small burner beneath a glass-ceramic cooktop. Replacing a failed element restores reliable, controllable heat to that cooking zone. What it does:
- Heats the 6-inch cooking zone under the glass top when the control is turned on
- Cycles to help maintain the selected temperature during cooking
- Common symptoms of failure: small burner won't heat, heats unevenly or intermittently, or shows visible burn spots/damage

Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the cooktop to cool completely
- Lift the glass top or remove the cooktop to access the elements; support the glass to avoid stress or cracks
- Note wire positions and transfer connections to the new element one at a time
- Ensure the element sits flat in its mounting brackets before reassembly and testing
