Pamela R Indianapolis , IN March 25, 2018 Appliance: Maytag 30" Electric Freestanding Self Clean Range Convect Ove MER6875BAS18 2 maytag smooth top stove burners were not turning all the way on Purchased the triple burner and dual burner element. I added my model of stove and I was able to pull up diagrams of the stove parts. The parts were easy to find using the diagrams and the burner elements were marked 17 & 15 so I placed my order. Parts were here in a couple of days. The tricky part was figuring out how to get into the stove top. I was a few youtube videos to see different replacement. My husband and I got the stove top off and flipped it over on the counter. We looked at the wires and connectors and they did not exactly match. I called the number on the packing slip that came with the burner elements that said if you need help call. Michael answered and was a great help. I sent Michael photos of both the old connectors and new. Micheal was able to walk us through matching the connector wires to the proper location. We were able to put the top back plug in the stove and both burners are working great. In less than an hour my stove was up and running again. The "do it yourself" portion of Appliance Parts Pro website was very helpful and I really like saving on the cost to repair. Vernon G Simsbury , CT May 07, 2016 The burner element was bad on the left front I ordered the replacement part and undid two screws on the front of the cooktop then used a nut driver to undo the clamps holding the burner in.I took a picture of the wiring then used needle nose pliers to gently pull the connectors off the terminals. reinstalling you just line up the new burner with the old one and screw the clamps back on. there are no predrilled holes the screws just bite into the insulation. Removed the upper oven surface, cleaned and replaced the left front element. All parts came on time and were easy to replace. Saved me 100's of dollars from an appliance pro. Bobbie W Arlington , MA December 28, 2014 Broken element on glass top stove I did it myself. It was very easy to fix. Shut off circuit breaker for the stove, removed 2 screws under the top holding the glass top in place. Then removed the screws and pulled out the electrical clamps holding the broken element in place. Next, slide the new element in place and tightened the screws.
