Whirlpool W10823716 Surface Heating Element, Top Burner Element OEM Part

Purchased the triple burner and dual burner element. I added my model of stove and I was able to pull up diagrams of the stove parts. The parts were easy to find using the diagrams and the burner elements were marked 17 & 15 so I placed my order. Parts were here in a couple of days. The tricky part was figuring out how to get into the stove top. I was a few youtube videos to see different replacement. My husband and I got the stove top off and flipped it over on the counter. We looked at the wires and connectors and they did not exactly match. I called the number on the packing slip that came with the burner elements that said if you need help call. Michael answered and was a great help. I sent Michael photos of both the old connectors and new. Micheal was able to walk us through matching the connector wires to the proper location. We were able to put the top back plug in the stove and both burners are working great.

I ordered the replacement part and undid two screws on the front of the cooktop then used a nut driver to undo the clamps holding the burner in.I took a picture of the wiring then used needle nose pliers to gently pull the connectors off the terminals. reinstalling you just line up the new burner with the old one and screw the clamps back on. there are no predrilled holes the screws just bite into the insulation.

I ordered the parts & received them 4 days later. In less than an hour my stove was up and running again. The "do it yourself" portion of Appliance Parts Pro website was very helpful and I really like saving on the cost to repair.

Unplug stove, or turn power off at breaker. Remove 2 phillips screws at front Left/Right corners of top. Raise top to vertical position. Note (take pic) of wire positions on burner. Remove wires carefully from burner terminals with needle nose pliers. Remove 2 burner retention bolts with wrench. Remove burner. FOLLOW ENCLOSED DIRECTIONS TO INSTALL NEW BURNER. Note, wire/terminal positions were different with replacement burner. Replace stove top. replace 2 screws. Plug in stove/ turn on breaker. Test burner.

Replaced the upper handle. Removed the upper oven surface, cleaned and replaced the left front element. All parts came on time and were easy to replace. Saved me 100's of dollars from an appliance pro. Appliance Parts Pros will be where I shop for parts first.
