Louis A Beaumont , CA August 23, 2015 Appliance: Admiral Refrigerator LSD2615HEW The insert and facade of the water & ice dispenser had two broken buttons (bad design) they are intended to break 1. Purchased a new Facade. The removal of the old one was relatively easy except that the two screws that hold it in place (behind the spill tray) were rusted (they should have used stainless steel ones) one came out with a vise grip but on the other I had to buy an "Easy Out" tool from Home Depot, once out the unit drops down. Had my wife hold the new unit, swiped the wires from old to new, removed the control board from the old one and installed it on the new one with one screw and cleaned the calcium deposits from the exterior of the water tube with CLR. Unit goes straight in and up then installed the two new screws and washers that I bought from the hardware store for 45 cents. 2. Purchased a new Insert. This was interesting as our ref. is an Admiral and the Insert has been discontinued (does not make any sense) so we ordered the one for the Maytag ,same unit but the insert has five buttons and it says Maytag, functions just the same. 3. Purchased a new light bulb. Works great! Matt N Park Falls , WI January 22, 2016 Buttons broken 'in' on the water dispenser I ordered the 'decal' which wasn't all that I needed so I ordered the full façade. Note that you need the 'decal' as well as the façade as it doesn't come with it. I removed power from the fridge as there is 120VAC on the panel. I then removed the ice tray by simply pulling it away from the fridge. Removed the two screws behind the ice tray then pulled the façade down and away from the fridge. I removed the one screw from the printed circuit board and removed it along with the two lower wires. I hooked up the two wires to the new façade and installed the printed circuit board which proved a little difficult as the last 'clip' was difficult to engage. Put the screw back in the printed circuit board and re-installed the façade. The decal was a bit of a pain to line up correctly as it is a pretty tight fight. I did my best to 'rest' the bottom of the decal on the lower ridge while also trying to do the same on the right side. This worked OK but it took a couple of tries to get the edges to line up correctly.
