Reuven R Baltimore , MD October 04, 2015 Appliance: Amana Refrigerator TQ18RBW Ripped refrigerator door gasket Loosened nuts around outer flange. Pulled out old gasket as shown in video. Prepared new gasket per included instructions. Installed new gasket again using techniques shown in video. Secured nuts then confirmed proper seal. This was not a difficult repair however patience and care is needed to ensure new gasket is properly seated without damage. I watch the first minute of the video just to make sure I knew how to do it and there wasn't something important I was missing. I did have to go back and read what to do if the seal was flat after install. I heated it up with a hair dryer until it all laid flat and I was good to go! Michael H Oregon , WI August 12, 2017 Appliance: Model TG18R2W (P1158305W W) The handle was broke and the gasket around the door was tattered in the lower left corner I followed the video instructions to the letter and the install went smoothly. The key to replacing the door gasket was allowing the gasket to set out in the sun so it could regain its shape. My door has screws all around the inside, so I loosened the screws on the upper part pulled out the old gasket and put in the new one. Then loosened the screws on the lower half and finished pulling out the old gasket and putting in the last of the new gasket. Installing both pieces took me 1.5 hrs. Read More...
