Harry J Landisburg , PA December 31, 2016 Appliance: Model TH21V2W - AMANA Old gasket was cracked 1. Removed new gasket from packaging 2. Where the new gasket was twisted to fold over & fit in the packaging the gasket was somewhat deformed. As per the enclosed instructions I had to use a hairdryer to soften the gasket so it laid out properly. 3. On the inside of the fridge door, lifted up the old gasket lip and loosened all the hex screws that hold the plastic gasket flange about 3 turns or so and pulled out the old gasket. Carefully notice how the old gasket is placed around this flange when removing it. The new one will go on the same way. 4. Starting with the upper left corner, installed the new gasket on the gasket flange. This is where the flat blade screwdriver was handy to gently pry the flange back from the door so part of the new gasket can be slipped behind it. After getting the new gasket on the flange I went outside edge several times to make sure the gasket was firmly positioned 5. After making sure the gasket was properly positioned, tightened all the hex screws. 6. Shut the door and checked the seal area. Noticed a couple of spots where the gasket has a small gap so hit those areas with the hair dryer to the point it softened the gasket material and these spots sealed up. Ken R Salem , OR September 15, 2016 Appliance: Model TX121A3W AMANA REFRIGERATOR Refrigerator gasket were ripped and worn The video was generic but very good. I started trying to tuck the gasket like the video was showing, but soon gave up and pulled the screws around the door, the gasket snapped on and put screws back in. I know some viewers said they simply loosened the screws but I found it just as simple to remove them and the gasket snapped into place and had no issues with screw hole alignment. Connie W Las Vegas , NV November 24, 2014 Refrigerator door gasket splitting Gasket received quickly after ordering, and installed by caretaker while door was still on refrigerator. Replacement gasket, as far as I can tell, was a non magnetized gasket, but appears to function fine as door closes tightly. Easy APP order and quick shipment policy a plus. Thank you.
