Jeff F Kennett Square , PA September 19, 2014 Appliance: KitchenAid 30" Induction Cooktop KICU509XBL00 Broken glass cooktop Replaced Glass/Frame. Very Easy. Just had to remove the cooktop from the counter (mine was just held in by silicone), then 6 torx screws to remove the cooktop glass and frame from the cooktop. It just sits on top of the induction burners so no other parts had to be detached or removed. Clean everything up, put on the new foam gasket, new silicone, and put it back in. Gary F Orange , CA January 06, 2022 Appliance: Model AP6020880 Replace glass induction cooktop Really easy. Lift out the cooktop. Unscrew 6 screws, lift off glass. Put on gasket under new glass, fit new glass with its attached frame back onto the cooktop, screw and put cooktop back in counter. Not connecting wires needed. Most difficult part was doing a nice caulking job once the cooktop was back in place.
