Whirlpool 8169642 Door Handle (Bsq) OEM Part

Our son heated a lasagna in a foil pan (yes, he's been told a million times) and it burnt a hole in the plastic film on the inside of the door. While we were trying to replace that, the whole door fell apart and the handle busted (it was already broken a little at the seams and I was going to just glue it. Ordered the handle and it was here the next day. This is the 2nd time we've ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com and we couldn't be happier. We replaced the outer part of the door last time. Hopefully we sell this house in three years and won't have to worry about this microwave any more! lol. The door came apart very easily the last time. I don't know why we had such a hard time this time, but it's still better than calling a repair man or replacing the microwave.

My tenant let me know on Sunday that the microwave handle had broken. On Monday afternoon I called several appliance part store for prices on this part. Ordered a replacement handle and installed it on the door. The process was relatively easy.

After a few weeks of contemplating and unscrewing and screwing in door screws which were completely unrelated to the actual fix, I searched youtube for a video and mastered the task in 10 minutes by popping the back panel off the door, unscrewing the broken handle and replacing it with the new one.
