Rex W Sheridan , WY March 24, 2015 Appliance: Amana Refrigerator ARS2664BW The frost was building up on the evaporator and the freezer wasn't cooling very well I removed the shelves and the shelf holders, took the back panel off, loosened the evaporator. Removed the heater element and the thermostat. Re-installed the evaporator the back panel, shelve holders and shelves. Then I located the defrost timer in the refrigerator. Greg G Winchester , CA July 27, 2015 Appliance: Amana Refrigerator ARS9169AS Only the bottom half of freezer and refrigerator cooling on my side by side I did some research online and You Tube. Pretty easy to self diagnose the issue and locate the parts. The delivery was extremely fast. Even though I did not have any instructions I was again able to find some online help. I replaced the defrost heater and thermostat in under 20 minutes and everything is back to normal. My wife was disappointed because she was having fun shopping for a new one. Too bad. Jerry A La Mesa , NM October 16, 2016 Not cooling Evaporator fan was not running. Removed panels and checked fan. Fan was fine. Checked defrost heater. Heater was open should be around 50 ohms. Bought new defrost heater, arrived in about 4 days. installed heater. Fridge is working fine. Watched video on how to replace heater. Not hard, just takes some time.
