Michael B Las Cruces , NM February 07, 2022 Hinges on upper oven in double wall oven needed to be replaced. Purchased proper hinges. Lifted oven doors off the hinges. Removed screws securing the oven to the cabinet, then slid out the unit from the cabinet far enough to access the hinges. Then removed trim to better access the hinges. Then removed the screws holding the hinges. Then installed the new hinges, secured them with the screws, then reinstalled the trim, then slid the unit back into the cabinet, and secured it in place with the screws. Finally, I placed the oven doors back on my hinges. I did turn the power off to the oven while I worked in it. The door works at like new now. Debbie V Long Beach , CA May 11, 2015 I had a broken spring on the hinge to the oven door and the broiler element did not work so not only could i not broil meat but i could not keep the door from flopping open very annoying I order the parts and used the helpful information found on line on how-to-replace the items I purchased for repair to my oven. Now, bare in mind that I am a 57 year old woman with little to no skill set for these kind of operations. But, what the heck, I decided to give it a try. Since I had the previous knowledge from the How-To instructions provided on line; I went to work on affixing replacements parts. After two hours, I was able to use my broiler and close the oven door without flopping issue. If I can do it... Anyone can.. It cost the parts and two hours of my time to save replacing the entire oven. Plus I learned a few things of how these things work. I feel I saved a ton of $$ and have a great sense of accomplishment.... Yippee.... Thanks to your precise replacement parts and the instruction offered on line.... It was a HUGE success...... Thank again.... Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers, Socket Set
