Robert H Moultonborough , NH March 16, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Self Cleaning Free Standing Electric Range MER5750BAB Squeakey oven door Our Maytag oven door was really squeakey, I mean loud. I tried every lubricant available without success. I then thought about replacing the two door hinge/springs. I googled and ordered the hinges. In less than 48 hours they were delivered. Just two bolts each side and the old hinges dropped out. The new hinges bolted on easily, and we now have a silent oven door. Appliance Parts Pros are the best! Timothy E Flora , IN December 29, 2015 Appliance: Maytag 30" Electric Freestanding Self Clean Range Non-Convect MER5752BAW15 Oven door was not shutting tight and hinges were very squeaky I turned off my stove circuit breaker first. Then I unplugged the stove and brought it out into the kitchen for easy access. Next I removed the back panel by removing several screws. After that I was able to unplug two wiring connectors that led to the stove top. (mine is a glass flat top stove) Next I removed the oven door by opening a few inches and pulling up and off. Then I removed the two corner screws that hold the cook top on, and removed the entire cook top to set aside. Next I removed the screws that hold both of the side panels on. I also had to remove a total of 4 screws that were at the control panel corners to gain access. The side panels pull out at the bottom and then slide up and off of pins. Then it was easy to remove the hinges and replace. Only 2 screws hold each hinge on. They pull out of the opening towards the back of the stove. Reverse procedure to reassemble. Read More...
