Don M Colchester , VT December 31, 2016 Appliance: Maytag 30" Built-In Electric Oven Convection JJW9530DDS31 Hinges were weak Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Mark M Blaine , WA March 24, 2017 Oven door won't close fully It was easy to find info on the problem, just did a quick search. The original hinges get weak and won't close the door. It seems this is a common problem with this make and model. I found the Appliancepartspros site through my search. I used the 1-800 number as I needed more info than was available on the order page. The parts arrived within a few days. It was easy to take the door off the oven, another search was required for that one. Once the door is off, it's a simple job to remove the hinges. It's rather easy. The new ones are part of a kit that overcomes the weak original hinges. Now the door closed fully, and the oven is much more efficient. The wife is happier too!
