Alex M Minneapolis , MN March 08, 2017 Appliance: Maytag Washer MVWX550XW1 Maytag bravos washer loud "whining" noise while filling with h2o Maytag Bravos Washer, Model #MVWX550XW1 My washer was emitting a loud noise - I describe it as a loud whining noise - while filling with water. The noise seemed to be coming from the fill valve assembly: 1) jiggling the supply hoses changed the inflection of the noise, 2) turning on the faucet in the adjacent laundry tub (thereby reducing the water supply pressure) also diminished the intensity of the whining noise. I ordered and installed this part - No. AP6023337 "Housing". The installation was relatively easy - the most difficult part (for me) was removing the top of the washer to access and remove the old Housing. Replacing this part solved my problem - the whining noise stopped. Make sure you have a few cable ties on hand to affix the cable from the replacement housing - you will need to cut the old cable ties to remove the defective part. Service from Appliance Parts Pros was outstanding: I got the replacement part within 48 hours of ordering; the correct part was sent; it was a OEM replacement part; the part fit perfectly and solved my problem. Jeffrey M Medina , OH November 15, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW5600XW0 Leaking water I had previously replaced the transmission in my two year old Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine. Overall it was in good shape but gets heavy use. That repair was approximately $200 and worked for several months. Recently it began leaking. At first I thought it was the tub-to-shaft seal. I replaced this part but it was still leaking. It turns out it was the simplest of things... The drain hose was not connected very well! I replaced the drain hose ($11 part) and while I was at it I replaced the water panel (which had stripped threads from numerous taking fill hoses off and on). Everything about this Whirlpool machine is easy to fix. AppliancePartsPros makes it simple with easy-to-find, affordable parts and helpful instructional videos. I was prepared to spend $600 to replace this washer but for less than half of that I think I'm good to go for many more years. Glenn M Viola , IL November 29, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW5500XW1 Water dropped from the cold water inlet valve Due to the age of the machine, I ordered the complete assembly with both valves and housing and replaced it. The video provided by on your website was very helpful. It went pretty well with one exception, both posts on the AP6017590 Bezel for the retaining screws snapped off when reinstalling them. I didn't even get them tightened all the way, the plastic had become weak from age and broke off. Do yourself a favor and order this piece too, it would have been worth it to me. However, I needed to get the machine back together ASAP so I "backyard engineered" it back together by drilling through the bezel using what was left of the post as a guide, installing longer thread cutting screws from the front and using the broken off posts on the backside of the assembly like nuts. Other than that little hiccup it went easier than anticipated and would have taken a lot less time.
