David R Buxton , ME October 27, 2017 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL MICROWAVE MODEL WMH32517AW-2 The exterior light bulb failed the bulb had broken away from the socket and was hanging by the wires In order to get the bulb screw base out of the socket I had to remove the bottom metal panel and remove the the bulb base. Once I removed the socket, I noticed that the one of the electrical solderless connectors was corroded and burned. I replaced the connector, socket, and bulb. Works great now. Terrance D Saint Joseph , MN March 26, 2017 Light bulb broken in housing Went to youtube and found a video on my model that showed what to do. Ordered the parts which arrived within 2 days. Removed the lower microwave cover and then disconnected the turn table watching which color wires went where for reconnection. Then removed the lamp housing and disconnected. Replaced and rewired also reconnected the turntable. Replaced the lower cover and added the new light bulb, replaced that cover. Now works great.
