Benjamin M Seattle , WA April 11, 2020 Ice tray mangled. Replaced ice maker unit. 4 screws to remove cover on inside door. 2 screws for ice maker. Three connectors: ice maker on/off switch, LED light, wiring harness connector. A second person assisted by bracing the door for me, but not necessary to get the job done. I also used some cellophane and tape to cover the door opening for the 5 minutes it took to replace the unit. Jason G Raleigh , NC April 04, 2020 Appliance: Model 106.51132213 Ice maker busted. I have the Kenmore 106.51132213 side by side refrigerator with in door icemaker. The housing for the ice maker broke, allowing the motor to turn the tray too far and snap some internal components. I ordered this part, and was able to very easily switch it out using nothing but a #2 Philips head screwdriver and a socket set with the 7mm socket and the 3in extender. After replacing the unit and all the housing/connections were back in place, I kept the ice maker in the off position and unplugged the refrigerator for 5 minutes. After that, I plugged it back in, turned the ice maker back on, and waited. Hoping to get ice flowing again soon!
