Brent C San Diego , CA February 09, 2019 Appliance: Jenn-Air Freestanding-Double Oven-Dual Fuel JDR8895AAS Water got on the top of the stove and shorted out the switch and smoked the wiring harness Could not find any video or instructions. Cut power shut off gas. Removed both doors to lighten the weight. Pulled stove out. 2 screws in the front above the door hold the top down. That only allowed you to peek in and could not pull it forward. Removed 2 back panels where I found the tag with the model number (none on the front or the door) hiding, and discovered a gas line connected to the top. Removed gas line, allowing top to slide forward only a couple of inches. Found a wire bundle going to the spark control unit. Labeled all the wires (8) . Pulled the top exposing the burner control valve and ignition switch. Had to remove 2 screws and 2 valves to allow the switch assembly to be removed. Careful, the rubber seals on the gas valves and the screw holding them in. Ordered parts and installed replacement parts and reversed order. It took a lot of time to figure out how to get it apart. about an hour to replace parts and reinstall the top. Cheryl J Templeton , MA October 26, 2014 Appliance: Jenn-Air Freestanding-Double Oven-Dual Fuel JDR8895AAS The right front burner knob didn't provide spark i could use a different knob for spark then it would light Replaced the ignition switch assembly. It would have been extremely easy, except that the screw heads were stripped on that burner. It took a LOT of effort to remove the screws, so we could lift the stove top. Once accomplished, replacing the assembly was very easy. My S.O. got the screw heads off, so we could lift the top. But the screws were still totally stuck. I would have bought a new orifice with spark assembly, but my father managed to get the screws out (bored a big hole, put in a bolt, and bored a screw-sized hole in the bolt - wow!).
