Whirlpool W11176454 Gas Range Oven Igniter OEM Part

I replaced the Oven Igniter. After ensuring that it was the igniter, by turning on the stove and taking out the oven bottom. Watch if it turns red. If not, then either the wiring is faulty, or the igniter went bad. The bulb was due to a loose and broken light bulb, can't use any normal bulb, these ones are specially made to withstand the heat. And the oven bottom was warped due repeatedly heating up and cooling down over the years. It took a fair bit of time to get the new one in, since it was a little bit off when forcing and clipping it in correctly. What took the most time, was trying to take off the old igniter, without remove the center gas extruder. One of the bolts stripped, so had to find a random screw to replace it. Somewhat sad the new igniter doesn't come with backup bolts

Replaced hot surface ignitor.

Googled possible problems for model concerned, found out it was bad spark igniter. Google how to remove and replace part. Easy peasy!

I bought a replacement ignitor for my oven. I took out the old one and was able to install the new one with no problem. Super easy and didn’t take long at all.

I unplugged the stove then took a multimeter to check the safety valve. Once I established continuity there I moved on to looking at the ignitor. The ignitor looked to be in pretty good shape, but I went ahead and purchase one to replace as often ignitor go bad and we've owned the stove for many years now. I received the ignitor quickly in the mail. I was able to replace it on a lunch break and the oven is working great!
