Steven E Waterloo , IN November 21, 2015 Broken fan switch The Fan Switch has been discontinued so had to look for a replacement. NO ONE had a replacement. Found a use appliance store that had one still in a bag. Purchased it. While changing the switch I noticed that the heat indicator were cracked. I was very surprised with the age of the cook top that these were still available. I placed the order and with 36 hours they were delivered. Very Happy. It is not Appliance Parts Pro that the original switch was discontinued. If this one fails I don't know what I will do. Maybe we will need to replace the cook top at some point. Marc R Emerald Hills , CA February 13, 2025 Broken shoe in cooktop burner terminal block (after 37 years of use) Replaced wire harness that is terminated in a contact-shoe in one of the two terminal blocks in the cooktop. Also replaced cracked burner-indicator lights as cooktop was disassembled to affect the terminal-block repair. All replacement parts fit properly and worked well. The greatest amount of time was disassembling and re-assembling the cooktop. Replacing the wire harness took less than 5 minutes once the range top was disassembled to allow access to the terminal block. Read More...
