Kyle B Goldsboro , NC September 19, 2014 Dishwasher was making a loud noise during the wash cycle This grinder blade is located on the bottom of the dishwasher under the spray jets. So I removed the sprayer and the screen at the bottom of the wash area. The blade on the shaft just pills out. I installed the new one making sure it is seated in the groove. This was an easy job and the dishwasher is back to acceptable volume. Allen G Elkhorn , NE January 15, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDS35FXSS3 Leaking sump housing I noticed the floor around the dishwasher was starting to get wet and warp the wooden floor. The chopper had gotten out of line and had cut a pinhole into the sump housing and the dishwasher was leaking badly. It was quite easy to repair. Just unhook the drain hose and the wire connectors, twist off the turbidity sensor and waste motor, pull out the shims and the whole assemple comes up and out. The hardest part was pulling the motor off of the assembly, since I wasn't sure if I needed to to anything special to pull it off. It turned out to be just a bit tight and it came off after gently prying with a screwdriver. The next hardest part was getting the rear shim in place when returning the assembly to its location. There is a heating coil lead right where the shim goes in, so one has to put the shim on the assembly before pushing it down into the hole. If I had to do this whole project again, I could probably do it in 20 minutes now from start to finish. I didn't have to remove the dishwasher from its location. Joseph B Hastings , NE August 03, 2015 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDS30SXWH1 My dishwasher was not cleaning the top rack items I did a little searching on the internet and found that the main problem was the food grinder screen gets plugged up. I watched a video showing how to take it apart ( I highly recommend watching) and was able to get to the part in about 2 minutes. I found the screen to be plugged but the grinder was also ruined from some broken glass that had gotten into it. I ordered the grinder and cover housing and installed them. Works like new again. Very easy repair. Watch the video and it will save you a lot of time.
