Christian T Seattle , WA October 04, 2015 Appliance: Maytag 30" Slide-In Downdraft Range Gas On Glass JGS9900BDS15 Touchpad stopped working After doing much research online, I found out that the Touchpad on the JennAir downdraft gas range JGS9900BDS is very prone to "breaking." All my neighbors who has this model has reported that the touchpad stopped responding after a few years. Replacing was fairly simple. 1. Turn off the electricity to the range at the breaker 2. Pull the range out by an inch or two 3. On each side of the control panel, remove the screws. 4. Open the oven door and remove the 4 hex screws under the control panel 5. Remove the gas knobs and unscrew the 4 screws in it 6. Pull the control panel out gently 7. Using a sharpie, label 1-7 on the circuit board as well as the wires (I used masking tape on the wires) 8. Gently remove each wire connection 9. Unscrew the circuit board and replace it on the new control panel 10. Reverse the process to attach all the cables and screws (remember to remove the masking tape if you used it). Hope this helps. Michael O Los Osos , CA November 11, 2016 Appliance: Maytag 30" Gas Slide-In Non-Convection JGS8750BDW16 Front panel wasn't working stove not functioning I had to replace both the front panel and the circuit board underneath. Be careful! The board went in without a hitch, but I managed to trip the circuit breaker (causing a loud pop) installing the front panel, which would remind one to turn off the power while working.
