Christian T Seattle , WA October 04, 2015 Appliance: Maytag 30" Slide-In Downdraft Range Gas On Glass JGS9900BDS15 Touchpad stopped working After doing much research online, I found out that the Touchpad on the JennAir downdraft gas range JGS9900BDS is very prone to "breaking." All my neighbors who has this model has reported that the touchpad stopped responding after a few years. Replacing was fairly simple. 1. Turn off the electricity to the range at the breaker 2. Pull the range out by an inch or two 3. On each side of the control panel, remove the screws. 4. Open the oven door and remove the 4 hex screws under the control panel 5. Remove the gas knobs and unscrew the 4 screws in it 6. Pull the control panel out gently 7. Using a sharpie, label 1-7 on the circuit board as well as the wires (I used masking tape on the wires) 8. Gently remove each wire connection 9. Unscrew the circuit board and replace it on the new control panel 10. Reverse the process to attach all the cables and screws (remember to remove the masking tape if you used it). Hope this helps. Kenneth B Athens , AL October 17, 2014 Broken burner knob on our jenn air Well, the wife was out of town and I was trying to cook lunch for my son and I when I broke the knob on our Jenn-Air oven. If my wife came home and discovered the knob broken I would have been in real trouble. I looked on line and found this most wonderful company. I placed my order for a new knob. Yep, less than 24 hours they sent me the new knob. I simply took the broken knob and threw it away. It was easy to replace the broken knob with the brand new knob, just line it up and pop it on. They saved the day and now my spouse will never know, unless she reads this message. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
Maryann J Tuckahoe , NY September 18, 2017 Knobs on stove needed replacing. Ordered four new knobs. Because of the stove model, the four knobs are three different parts. Three of the knobs fit and work fine. The fourth knob had the information printed on it, off by 180 degrees (in positioning, not temp). Hence, if the knob fit correctly, it pointed to the floor when in the off position. Yet, when turned to the off position-toward the ceiling, the flame was pretty high. The other three point to the ceiling. No flame. New knob being sent. Holding my breath. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
