Description

This replacement igniter knob is the user control that engages the spark igniter and gas valve on compatible gas ranges, restoring safe, reliable burner ignition and user control when the original knob is damaged or worn. What it does:

• Replaces a worn, cracked, or stripped igniter/control knob so you can easily turn burners on and off.
• Engages the burner spark mechanism when rotated or pressed (depending on range design).
• Helps ensure proper alignment with the range valve splines for predictable control response.
• Addresses symptoms like a loose, slipping, or broken knob that won't turn the burner valve or activate ignition.

Install notes:

• Disconnect power to the appliance and shut off the gas supply before attempting service.
• Ensure splines on the shaft and inside the knob are clean and undamaged; align knob to the shaft and slide fully onto the splines.
• Do not force the knob onto a damaged shaft; forcing can break the knob or valve stem.
• If the burner does not ignite after installation, the igniter or valve assembly may need inspection—this knob only replaces the user control.
