I was able to replace the knobs and everything is fine. They are better quality than was originally on the stove to begin with. Alfred M Fenton , MI August 22, 2014 Appliance: Model KERS205TTSS 2 The knobs for the kitchenaid range i have broke the center of the knob is a plastic circle with a groove the circle broke The knob is easy to take off but needs to have a replacement knob. The plastic circle in the center gets a break and will no longer move the metal control. I have already replaced all the original 4 knobs and am now starting to need replacements for them again. There must be some defect with the plastic that causes it to break or it is a poor design. We have had the range for only 5 years. Read More... I ordered the part number stamped inside the old knob, but it had changed since I purchased the stove, so was shipped the wrong replacement knob first time. The Customer Service person at APP was excellent. Once I gave her the Model number of the stove, she was able to send the correct replacement. I googled the item number which came up as a white knob. After reading some of the reviews someone posted they needed a black knob. The black knob item number was posted.
