Scott G Kissimmee , FL December 13, 2018 Appliance: Maytag Washer MHW6000XW2 Would not start and gave error codes F06 E01 Maytag 2001 Maxium MHW6000xw2 First I check with Appliance Part Pros, watch videos how to access the parts I believe to be the problem. I love there videos and parts list of solutions to fix what it wrong. First I removed the washer from the laundry room and but it in the garage for more room to work on it. The next thing I replaced was the door lock which seem to be a possible cheap fix and does get a lot of abuse, however it was not the door lock and people should stop posting it could be this issue when they get a F06 E01 error code . Its actually your MCU Part Number W10374126 which is located at the bottom if you have a front loader. Best way to gain access is either open the front or the back. I choose the back because it was easier for me and, unhooked the wires, unclipped the MCU and it slides out. Once I removed the MCU circuit board (press the 3 easy plastic clasps) and you can pull it out of the plastic cover that protects it. I noticed two burn marks right away and sure enough I could see the circuit MCU circuit board was toast. It took me more time to do research then it did to pull the washer out and remove the back plate, and replace the parts. I also cleaned out the plastic filter under the washer drum and checked the four-shocks, and all connections to make sure they were okay before I closed it back up. Now I have installed a surge protector on the washer before its plugged into the wall. Maybe it will help who knows. I also believe this MCU circuit board is a known problem with this Maytag washer and comparable Whirlpool models. Joseph F Orlando , FL January 11, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WFW9200SQ00 Error f26 (flashing) whirlpool washer duet sport will not start I replaced the automatic door lock. I removed the spring band around the rubber gasket that will allow you access to the door lock. Use two small screwdrivers to pull back the tension on the spring, be careful not to gash the rubber gasket. I removed the two torx screws from the front of the washer that secure the lock. Next I removed the three wires that plug into it. Don't worry about mixing the wires up, they are all keyed differently so they will only fit into their proper outlet. Installation is the reverse. Double check that the spring band is in it's proper groove with the rubber gasket properly seated. Easy job.
