Sharon W Texarkana , AR February 16, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW7800XW0 Whirlpool cabrio washer lid coming apart even though we purchased a 4yr warranty we were told the lid was not covered under the warranty :( AFTER being told that the lid was NOT covered under warranty.....my fix it guy (AKA hubby)....tried on several occasions, several different ways, to "repair" the lid....(poor excuse for a washer lid)..:( the last time that he tried, he told me, the next time it comes apart, we will have to get a new one... After some searching on the web.....local phone calls.....We decided that AppliancePartsPros, was our best option.. (we have a set of white ~ washer & dryer) And after comparing the prices of the white lid and the black lid....We ordered the black lid....which was cheaper.. Today, my fix it guy, installed the new lid on the Cabrio washer.... fit just fine....And now, a load of laundry is finishing up.....:) Read More... 14 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Brandon D Waynesboro , VA October 17, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW7800XW2 The lid was cracked on my whirlpool cabrio washer I had first contacted Whirlpool to see about a replacement part and possibly switching lids all together. (Something more durable). They were no help what so ever. I did ask what their price would be on a replacement lid, I just laughed when they told me the price plus the $25 shipping. So I found some reviews on appliance parts pros and reached out, the staff was not only knowledgeable but courteous too. I was assured that if I wanted to try a different lid and it didn't work I could send it back for a full refund. Although after the staff helped me figure out the dimensions would be slightly off I ended up ordering the replacement lid for a lot cheaper and affordable shipping. Not to mention the lid was here in two days vs. whirlpool said it would take 5-7 business days (with higher shipping costs). Needless to say next time I need any parts for any of my appliances Appliance Parts Pros is where I'm going to go. Great service and prices. Jeff L Medford , OR April 08, 2017 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW7800XW2 The plastic frame on my washing machine's glass lid broke not allowing it to close properly Replacement lid was an exact size match. Old one came off, and new one went right back on. Two screws on each side and a little wiggling for alignment's sake. Overall, it took less then ten minutes, including examining mechanisms, fitting for installation, and cleaning where I previously couldn't. Super easy to replace.
