Barry F Highlands Ranch , CO October 04, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH4000AWW Spin cycle stopped working After much internet research (primary YouTube) as to why my Maytag Neptune washing machine's spin cycle stopped working, I ordered the parts I needed to fix it. Sure enough, it was a failed wax motor and a blown control board at fault. After replacing both parts, we have a functioning washing machine again. While I was at it, I replaced the soap dispenser's bezel and lid since they were deteriorating and now we have a "new" washer! I also replaces the thermostat in the matching dryer and we now have multiple levels of heat vs. just cool or very hot. Great to have a reliable place to get the parts I needed. I have used AppliancePartsPros several times over the past for +/- 6 years. They have always had the parts I needed and they have been there to answer any questions I may have before and during installation. I highly recommend them. Debbie W Houston , TX September 10, 2015 The hinges had deteriorated on the soap dispenser cover of my 12 year old maytag neptune washing machine Went to the local parts store. They didn't have the part in stock. Cost would have been almost $6.00 more than appliance parts pros.com even with shipping. Removed the two pins that attached the lids from old part. Put them in the new part and reinstalled. Done. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
Michael W Salem , OR August 15, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH4000AWW Our 15 year old maytag neptune washer refused to work through the spin(rinse) cycle After researching repair histories, we concluded that the motor and or motor control board were the most likely failed parts. Fortunately Appliance Part Pros sold a conversion unit for this model that included both items as a package. The price at just over $250 was reasonable. We order on a Monday and Fed-ex dropped it at our door Weds AM. Removal and replacement of both parts took about and hour and a half. The instructions provided were helpful and accurate. The washer is working probably better than new. We were quite satisfied.
