Interior light burned out and bulb broke with the base jammed in the socket pried it out but then a replacement bulb would not work

Ordered and installed a new light socket kit. Replaced same. Video was a great help. My 1987 Kenmore Coldspot is once again fully in the pink.

The light bulb socket stopped working

I bought a new lightbulb socket and turned off the power and replaced it. When I turned the power back on the light bulb socket worked.
