How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3108436 / 4387478 Light Socket Kit

Ordered and installed a new light socket kit. Replaced same. Video was a great help. My 1987 Kenmore Coldspot is once again fully in the pink. 

From the time I ordered the parts to the time they arrived on my doorstep, it was less than 24 hours (22 to be exact). I was very satisfied with the equipment. All parts were clean, new, and easy to install. 

Replaced the light socket. 

Watched on line video and ordered parts 

I bought a new lightbulb socket and turned off the power and replaced it. When I turned the power back on the light bulb socket worked. 

I replaced the Light Socket Kit. 

Searched online for possible causes. Determined it was either the socket component or the door switch. Looked up the parts for my model freezer, ordered, delivered, and replaced both parts. Light worked, 

I watched you tube video from appliance parts pro and ordered the light socket kit and switch. I saw it was easy to replace these and the instructions in video is exactly what i did and fixed my light issue. Parts arrived in 2 days are the original parts of the manufacturer. I am very happy with my experience in fixing this issue and would refer to appliance parts pros videos from now on. Thanks appliance parts pros for wonderful videos. 

Ordered the light socket after a new bulb wouldn’t turn on. Replace in the socket using the video and light then worked. 

Put in new light socket, fit just right.
