C/o H Lake City , FL January 26, 2017 Appliance: Amana Refrigerator ASD2620HRW Ice dispenser wasn't working Ice dispenser has been giving problems for awhile now, talk to the local appliance fix it guy, he comes down dumps the ice out of the bucket, thaws it out, puts it all back together, it works like a charm. For about a day, until the ice compartment fills up, then the dispenser won't turn again. Have told him on more than one occasion to just order the part and fix it, but he dumps the ice out again and a day later we're back to digging for ice. Having recently found Appliance Parts Pro, with their screaming service on parts, videos to simplify repairs, and fantastic prices, I decided to check model number on the fridge and see what I could find. $100 part on a $1200 fridge is acceptable, video showing how to repair it was only 11 minutes long so it obviously isn't difficult to replace. Part arrived, screws were different than the video suggested, needed my 1/4" nut driver instead. Plug into the wall of the fridge was different as well, but it was all cool. Start to finish the job took a whopping 15 minutes, and I saved a $50 service call. Thanks Again Appliance Parts Pro!! You guys ROCK!! Read More...
