Richard W Plano , TX May 29, 2017 Fan noise Removed the back cover to access the fan area. Clean the area with brush and vac first. Unplugged the Refrigerator. Used a socket set with 1/4" socket. Had an extended and a standard socket. Removed the condensate plastic drain from the bottom of the refrigerator to have more access to the fan. Unplugged the fan motor. Removed the two screws holding the fan in place. Removed the fan unit from the condenser side of the bracket. Place new fan on the fan and installed exactly the way I removed the old fan unit. Being that I am 68 years old and have a bad back took a little longer than If I were 40 years old. Rachael D New Britain , CT December 24, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Refrigerator WRT359SFYW00 Frig to warm and freezer had ice buildup on the flat surface in the freezer. Replaced the Capacitor, Condenser Fan Motor and cleaned the grills under the bottom of the frig. So far, as of 12/24/19, the frig is working better. Let's hope this repair continues to correct the prior problem. If not, I'm not sure/don't know what to do next... William B Piedmont , SC December 20, 2019 Bad condenser fan I mistakenly ordered an evaporator fan motor instead of a condenser fan motor. I noticed my mistake right away and called in to resolve it. Customer service was very understanding and corrected the problem right away. My condenser fan motor showed up the next day, which was a nice surprise.
