Scott M Blaine , MN March 28, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool Laundry, Electric Dryer WED85HEFW0 My clothes dryer stopped running the drum would not rotate I disassembled the dryer and vacuumed out all of the lint. I then installed an appliancepartspros.com kit which replaced the support rollers, tension roller, and belt. Upon testing I found that the motor windings were discolored and the motor would still not work. I then ordered a new motor. It was difficult to remove the fan from the motor shaft but soaking it with a penetrating oil seemed to help break it free. Once the new motor was installed, I reassembled everything and it works like its brand new! The appliancepartspros.com videos gave me the confidence to do the work myself and I'm glad I did!
