Followed the listed procedures; however disassembly of the tub is not necessary since you can access the pump and switch from below the unit. Removed switch and ran continuity test based on the listed online checks. Found the low motor speed contacts were open and not closing when lever engaged. Walter S Melrose Park , IL October 05, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer - Direct Drive LSB6400LW0 Blew up capacitor After changing the motor coupler last week, the machine was leaking some. Did not think much of it, seems I cracked the pump housing when putting it back on. I took the road of, at least its working again, cant complain about a little water on the floor. Ended up frying both the motor switch and the capacitor from spraying off the cabinet and onto the switch. Could have just been the 70.00 pump, instead, a 200.00 bill for the three parts. Challenging part is rewiring that motor switch one at a time so you put them in the right place.
