Darren A Claremont , NH November 29, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH3000AWW Door wouldn't lock so therefore no spin cycle Verified that wax motor had power and ground, witch it did. Checked resistance value of wax motor, was about 1200 ohms. Seems to be correct value. Ordered new wax motor and asked tech line about it. They pretty much insisted it was The $214 Control Board. I questioned there judgement, they asked me to inspect the control board for burnt components. It did in fact have a few burnt resistors. I replaced Control Board and wax motor, It corrected the Problem.
