Christina L Castle Pines , CO November 24, 2015 Upper spray arm fell off Ordered a new spray arm (because the old one finally broke into two pieces after falling off several times, and this time the arm melted next to the heat coils) AND ordered the new nut because of all the information posted by other users (thank you). Had to use pliers to get the old nut to unscrew, but once it was off, getting the new nut in was easy. Then popped on the new spray arm, and voila, the next load of dishes came out much cleaner! Yay! I spoke to an actual person rather than a recording, which was THRILLING. And HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT! He helped identify my problem, directed me to AppliancePartsPros.com and told me which parts to order. I paid about $11 for the arm and the nut, it arrived in a day or 2. It took me about 5 minutes to install it without any tools and it works perfectly now. It cost me $11 and 5 minutes to repair my 18 year old dishwasher. Upon removal of the nut I saw that the hole was worn enough that it would not hold the sprayer when water was forced through. This was an easy and quick fix to a problem that left dishes dirty and having to reinsert the sprayer after every wash. I discovered I needed a new top wash spinner nut. I ordered it and it arrived the next day. I was able to put it in and attach the arm in about 2 minutes.
