Martin Sr M Grafton , WI May 07, 2016 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL W4TXNWFQWQ01 40 unit senior apartment i do maintenance and live here refrigertors are failing After tossing a couple for refrigerators to clean the storage area - we had one good one left taken from an apartment where the resident bought a newer-bigger one. Another resident's went bad - froze in the freezer - but 65 F in the lower refrigerator unit. Not my job but I decided to check it - diassembled the freezer plastic - fan didn't run - took it out and direct powered it - dead! I went on line and reviewed numerous Goolgle hits - yours was easiest to work in - put in the OEM P/N - you came up with a direct match. I ordered it - very competitive price with other vendors. I was REALLY surprised though - when it came in just 2 days and I opened it. It was the exact same motor- same manufacturer and same part number - that made it pleasant - I hate having to finagle and get a "Close" one to work. I put it in - powered it up and ran immediately. Reassembled freezer guts - powered the refrigerator up and installed 2 bimetallic thermometers and a cup of water in the freezer. Within 2 hours water was hardening and better yet - the lower chamber was now approaching 40F. Set it for max cool and let it sit overnight. Water froze solid in freezer at minus 15F - fridge was down to 20F so I knew it was fixed. Reset a few times to get 0 and 35F and now I moved it to the room for use (after cleaning the filthy thing inside) andour resident cook has a working fridge that otherwise would have gone to trash. Repair - abour 30 minutes on line plus an hour to install - 2 hours to clean the dirty fridge and 30 minutes to move to the 2nd floor and set it up. Saved a bundle ! Thanks for the quick and accurate service. Read More... 5 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
Henry B Escondido , CA November 07, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Refrigerator W4TXNWFWQ01 Freezer cold but fridge not cooling After determining it was the motor-evap freezer fan motor that was causing the problem I was able to quickly locate the part on appliancepartspros.com's website and place an order for a replacement part. The part came within a few days as expected and was installed without any problems. The quality of the new part was excellent, even better than the original after doing a side by side comparison. Its been a very good buying experience and I'll be using appliancepartspros.com for future appliance repair orders.
