I called a service tech and told would cost about $220 for parts and labor. I figured out where part was located and watched few videos on youtube.com determine labor associated with it. I then decided to remove this part to see how difficult this would be. Took me about 5 minutes to remove part and once it was removed. I ordered part on line. The part cost approximately $59.00 plus shipping and tax total was under $72.00 I received the part 2 days later and replaced it. Despite the old igniter was still glowing red hot upon power up and the resistance test also showed that there is still a continuity between the igniter element. Thomas C Worthington , IN March 12, 2014 The gas oven wouldn't heat. I replaced the Ignitor. The only problem I ran into was I could not loosen one of the self-tapping screws holding the igniter to the stove. I cut the top of that screw off and removed the body with no problem. Finding a replacement screw took a little longer than I anticipated but I eventually found one and finished the installation of the new igniter. Read More...
