Despite the old igniter was still glowing red hot upon power up and the resistance test also showed that there is still a continuity between the igniter element. Thomas C Worthington , IN March 12, 2014 The gas oven wouldn't heat. I replaced the Ignitor. The only problem I ran into was I could not loosen one of the self-tapping screws holding the igniter to the stove. I cut the top of that screw off and removed the body with no problem. Finding a replacement screw took a little longer than I anticipated but I eventually found one and finished the installation of the new igniter. Read More...
