Description
This motor overload protector helps prevent the dryer motor from overheating by cutting power when excessive current or heat is detected. It restores normal operation when the motor cools or the overload is replaced. What it does:
- Protects the dryer motor from damage by interrupting power during overheating or overcurrent conditions
- Commonly used when the dryer motor won't start, hums but doesn't run, or the motor trips repeatedly
- Works with the motor start system to reduce the risk of burned windings and costly motor failure
- Resets or is replaced to restore normal motor operation after an overload event
