Jeffrey S Islandia , NY March 19, 2015 Changed from a black panel to a stainless steel panel Once I received my new panel from Appliance Parts Pros, I took the old panel off, it's only 6 screws on the inside edge of the door. Then I slipped the new panel on, be careful there are tabs on the inner door that the lower half of the panel has to slip into. Hold the panel in place and put the top two screws in, then follow with the remaining screws while checking the fit. Tip: Peel the protective layer of plastic off the edges before screwing the panel in, once the panel is screwed in, peel the rest off. Michael T Flushing , MI February 28, 2016 Appliance: Model KITCHEN AID Updating older malfunctioning kitchen appliances decided to go to stainless steel dishwasheris "newest" of appliances and still (knock on wood!) working fine but wanted to replace frt panel t Removed old "bisque" colored frt panel with 6 screws; inserted new stainless panel, can only fit in original mounting, installed 6 screws - job done! Would recommend another person to hold new panel in place while screws are installed. Thomas M Cambridge , MA December 07, 2015 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDS30IXWH1 Replacing dishwasher front panel It's really and truly easy - not w/o needing a bit of figuring out how to hold things - but a simple matter of removing six screws (three per side) and not losing them while putting the new stainless steel panel on where the former white one was and screwing the screws back in. It's a bit tricky in that you have to simultaneously hold the piece in place (there are slots in the control panel above it and into which it fits) both towards you and upwards towards the opened inner door assembly and screwing in the screws. Two hands are one hand too few, but it can be done. Hint: pull the clear plastic material protecting the panel's finish off the top of the panel that tucks into those slots before tightening it up as otherwise it's almost impossible to remove the plastic covering completely. The cost of the stainless steel panel (about $150 delivered) and the time spent putting it on in order to match a new stainless stove and refrigerator was considerably less than the cost of a new dishwasher. Since the one there is only five years old and works fine, just the hassle of arranging delivery and having someone in the house to install a new one - forget about the money - made installing this panel myself both a great deal and a great deal easier than the alternative. Galen T Greenfield , IN August 26, 2017 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDS30IXWH9 Upper dish rack wheel assembly broke and switched front panel from white to stainless. The upper rack on the dishwasher fell apart as in the 3 of 4 wheels kept falling off the axle. This is the second time I am replacing these wheels in 12 years. This replacement assembly is metal with rivets holding on the wheels as opposed to the plastic tabs which became brittle and fell off which allowed the wheels to then fall off. Installation instructions have awful dark photos and I spent way to long trying to decipher the poor quality instructions; I then went to youtube, found a video, watched it for about 5 minutes, then took maybe total ten minutes to replace both assembly sides. No big deal after watching the video. Four stars just because of the terrible instructions included with the upper rack adjuster assembly. Save yourself the trouble, trash the instructions and watch a video. Since the last wheel replacement, we have been switching appliances to stainless so I bought the control panel and big panel in stainless, very easy replacement, just remove a few screws on each side, pop off the old and replace with the new upper and lower panel.
