William L Cary , IL September 13, 2014 Appliance: Model 110 70072991 Dryer displayed the "pf" indication First time ever that pushing the "Stop" button did not turn out light. Contact with tech line, diagnosis thought to be a CONTROL BOARD. Part ordered, installed, but only worked one time and then nothing at all, not even a "PF" light. It seemed like a control problem so I ordered the CONTROL PANEL and installed it. Dryer worked fine with both Control Boards. Appliance Parts Pros allowed me to return the first CONTROL BOARD for a full part refund. The ability to return a part without question is an extremely nice feature. I knew it was either part but did not know which one. The ability to have either part to "test" the circuit without having to purchase both is the difference between repairing or replacing the dryer. John F Lancaster , PA December 31, 2016 Constant beeping; would only dry on medium heat; all other buttons didn't function Replaced only the control panel. I did not have to replace the electronic board behind the panel. The most difficult part of the repair was getting the side pieces line up for the screws. Jeffery H Mundelein , IL November 04, 2016 Appliance: Model KENMORE ELITE (CONTROL PANEL #WP8282546) Defective control panel (possible bad membrane switch) dryer would continuously beep while running and most switches did not work Removed Control Panel and Control Board from top of dryer. Note that the Control Board mounting bracket is glued to the Control Panel (membrane switches) and must be cut free with a knife. Brake Clean did a good job cleaning the remaining residue off the bracket. I used silicon caulk to reattach the bracket to the back of the Control Panel, using clamps to hold in place while it dried. The rest of the repair was pretty straight forward and was easy to reassemble. The new Control Panel fixed the problem and the dryer is operational again. David K Escondido , CA October 05, 2015 Appliance: Model 110.70092991 Dryer buttons would not respond Since the buttons would light sporadically I suspected that the control panel might need to be replaced. I found the panel on Appliance Parts Pros so I knew what the price for a new one was. Before purchasing I had the problem diagnosed by a repairman (cost - $25). He confirmed it was the control panel and quoted a price of $350. I purchased and installed the panel myself and saved $125. Thanks Appliance Parts Pros! Read More...
