Matt P Yorktown , VA September 22, 2014 No lights on dishwasher control panel I replaced the control panel. I guess the problem could also have been the control board. I felt more certain about purchasing the control panel after removing the old one, and ohm-ing out pins that should have indicated small resistance when pressing front panel buttons, but all indicated open circuit. A result of moisture that ruined the thin wires in the ribbon cable, apparently a common problem of the Maytag/Whirlpool dishwashers and the subject of a class action lawsuit (Maytag would not help me). After replacing the control panel, the dishwasher hummed to life but then died again toward the end of the heat cycle. Not sure why but I blew a "bi-metal switch". I don't know if this was related to my control panel failure or replacement. But I replaced the bi-metal switch and the dishwasher is working fine now. Bonnie B Hiram , OH September 09, 2014 Dishwasher not working Wrote in, told what our problem was, my husband thought maybe it was the circuit board, they replied back right away, (I was surprise how fast), told me it was front panel, gave me the link to order front panel, it was cheaper than circuit board. Easy to order, it arrived two days later, told 10 minutes to install. Works great. thank you, I will be saving Appliance Parts Pros.com and telling our friends about. Nicholas C Trenton , NJ September 12, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDBH949AWQ0 Yes this fixed the problem This Dish washer was only 2 years old. Thanks to online help the problem was exactly what they said control panel. Looked at old part and it had the burn marks on the ribbon wire, however I rather have not done the repair to it because it might go again. I'm very upset with the Product going down so soon. The old whirlpool was still working when we opted for a new one, it was 37 years old. I replaced it because the door open switch was broken and no replacement part was available. Nothing made now last as long as the old stuff. My dryer is also over 25 years old Thanks to appliance parts new timer and fan wheel it still takes a full load in 45 Min. It's made like a battle ship. Just clean out the vent and oil the motor and drum wheel ever year keeps going. Thanks for parts.
