Gloria N Ola , AR April 25, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDB7809AWW2 Could not start could not select any cycle but could select steam hi temp sanitize delay Ordered a new control panel after consulting live help since I did not know whether the fault would be in control panel or the visible electronic board. Part arrived in two days and had dishwasher working in a few minutes. Had to re-open it to put the old piece under the door opening--had not realized there was not one included with new panel and did not notice until I opened the door after the wash cycle completed. Sooo glad the old one was not out with the garbage!! I did not even need my husband's help! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

This is the second replacement due to the same problem with this Maytag dishwasher. The exact cause of the failure is not obvious, but replacing the $130 panel is a quick and easy fix rather than tracking down all the electrical failures in the cable and attempting a permanent fix. The dishwasher performs well otherwise and I believe it has a lot of life left in it. I may well end up replacing the panel again before buying a new unit. Read More...
