David W Molena , GA February 22, 2016 Half the buttons didn't work after power surge One day our house lost power for only about a second or two, and then everything in the house came back as normal, except now half the buttons on the stove front didn't work. It made more sense to me that it was the sensitive electronic computer board and not the front panel which just holds the buttons that was fried, however I had read online how some other people had fixed a similar problem with replacing the panel with the buttons. Thanks to this site's fantastic return policy, I decided to take a chance on replacing the front panel first (which also is cheaper). It turns out this was correct, and the stove works perfectly now! The job took about an hour and a half. Turn off the power, and position a small table (with maybe some books on it) in front of the stove, as you'll need to rest the panel on it as you remove the wiring. Pull the knobs off. Remove 4 screws under the panel, and two on the side (I had to slide my stove out an inch to access these). Pull the panel off and rest it upside down on your table. Remove the 4 screws holding the center computer board. Slide the connectors for the "red lights" sideways to remove. Unscrew the 8 black screws from the front that hold the knob mechanisms in place. When everything is free, push the red light lenses out from the back to the front. Reinstall everything in the new panel and you're done!
