Bill E Lompoc , CA September 03, 2017 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MSD2754GRW Refrigerator door wouldn't close completely without assist 1) Identified the parts in the exploded parts diagram, watched the related videos & reviewed the comments to match symptoms/fixes. 2) Easily ordered the parts online. Wasn't sure which closer was needed (I never looked) Hint: look at the part (closer) on the bottom of the door first - order the black or white part, as required. Received parts two days later, per the shipping choice. 3) Replaced both parts of the lower hinge pin/closer according to the video. Tips: empty the door before COMPLETELY (including the shelves) before removing top hinge; don't skimp and replace BOTH parts as a set (both are worn out); take the extra time (30 minutes) to clean the door surfaces and all the shelves while it is empty and disassembled. 4) Re-assembly: the play in the top hinge provides some adjustment for aligning the doors - align the top corners of the fridge/freezer doors before tightening the top hinge pin.
